Large19th Century Painted Tin Tray With Early Sailing Ship & American Flag Large painted tin tray with wonderful painted center section depicting one ship at sail,another under attack and another with people in a life boat.
Has stenciling around outer edge of painting and along outer edge of tray that is worn but still visible. Has not been cleaned and there are drips that look like an old varnish?

19th Century Vermont Marble Trinket Box Applied Multi Color Diamonds Early walnut trinket or jewlrey box with Vermont marble inset on all sides plus different color marble diamond cutouts applied to all sides.
Original lock intact along with deep blue velvet lined interior. Top has a small chip on one corner along with a tight crack that might disappear with a cleaning.
Dimensions: Measures 9" across X 5.5" deep X 4.75" tall.

Important Miniature Signed New York Blind Cabinetmaker Empire Chest Fancy Canajoharie New York miniature Empire three drawer chest. Marked on the back and inside the top drawer: Peter VanEvera "A Blind Man" at Mapletown N.Y.
Has ripple moldings and an old crusty varnish surface with what appears to be the original mirror and backboard.
(I have United States Federal Census info on him starting in 1850 when he was 16 through age 38 listing him as blind and his occupation as a cabinetmaker.)
Dimensions: Measures 10 1/2" wide by 7" deep by 15 1/2 including mirror.

An old crack along the top has been reinforced and the hasp is broken.

As can be seen it does have some minor wear but it doesn't take away from this unusual piece.
